Edyta Bednarczyk v Gem Pack Foods Ltd (Case No DEC-E2015-004)

The Equality Tribunal has rejected a claim of gender, disability and race discrimination by a Polish general operative with a back injury who was told that she didn’t need to tell her employer when she coming back to work after maternity leave unless she wanted to extend the leave, that she had to attend a return to work interview when she did return and that they couldn’t give her light duties despite her GP certifying her unfit for full duties.
